Combi Terminal Twente (CTT) is an intermodal transporter with a hinterland terminal located in Hengelo and the Twente-region, in the eastern part of the Netherlands. CTT also has a terminal in Rotterdam (CTTR) with a rail, road and barge connection and has commenced building a third inlandterminal in the Twente Region at Businesspark XL in Almelo. The inlandterminal in Hengelo has a 92% score on the Inlandlinks.eu network and is rated together with CTU terminal the highest of all Inlandterminals.
CTT promotes synchromodal transportation and a netcentric approach and is not only active in containertransportation, but also in intermodal transportation and handling of bulk goods.
Connections are provided by inland waterways to and from the deep-sea port of Rotterdam. Conveniently located next to the main A1-E30 motorway, road links to Germany and beyond are provided. In this way the terminals of CTT act a hubs serving the regional business community (Port of Twente), connecting the Twente region with the rest of Europe and the world.
CTT is one of the founders of ‘Port of Twente’, an association aiming to improve collaboration between logistics organizations, government and R&D-institutes in the Twente-region. The availability of the data and its use to align business processes is an important focus area.
